This wellness package offers an integrated and safe approach to helping those with medical conditions, chronic pain or other injuries to achieve their weight loss goals. The program is designed such that collaboration with the Physiotherapist, Kinesiologist and Naturopath result in each client losing weight in a safe and supported manner.
Benefits of exercising are many. It prevent high blood pressure, reduce your chance of stroke, type diabetes, depression, a number of type of cancer, arthritis and falls. It helps also to improve moods and boost your energy.
If you combine this with the right aliments, you will increase and maximize your health overall.
Regular trips to the gym are great, but don’t worry if you can’t find the time to exercise every day. To gain the benefits of exercise, just get more active throughout your day — take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a walk around your neighbourhood. Consistency is key.
Upon initial consult an extensive health and nutrition screen are completed. Following which the Naturopath and Physiotherapist complete comprehensive assessments to inform the program design. Each client is provided with a customized exercise and weight loss program, which is monitored over time. Below is an outline of how service provision would occur:
- Initial assessment to help inform the exercise plan to reduce risk of injury and to maximize physical strength and endurance
- Treatment plan devised with support of the Kinesiologist
- Development of the “exercise road map” or program developed with the Kinesiologist
- Follow-up sessions with the Kinesiologist to review programming and ensure safe participation
- Follow-up after 1 month with the Physiotherapist
- Initial assessment to determine baseline health and allow for individualized recommendations
- Evaluation of daily food intake and associated symptoms
- Treatment plan based on current dietary needs and provision of food an supplement suggestions
- Follow-up in 1 month
