Dr. Marissa Gelinas earned her Honours Degree in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University and followed this by earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2009. During her studies she worked as a personal trainer helping a wide variety of people reach and maintain their optimal level of fitness.

Dr. Gelinas has a passion for helping people live their best life and she uses a patient-centred approach to achieve this. She believes in addressing the body as a whole and finding and treating the source of an injury rather than solely addressing the symptoms. Treatment is aimed at reducing pain, optimizing function and improving performance.

Dr. Gelinas uses a diversified approach in her practice, treating every patient as a unique case, working with each one to determine a plan to achieve maximum health and wellness. Treatments may include manual spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, education, functional exercise rehabilitation and postural re-education. She is a certified Active Release Techniques ™ provider, Kinesiotape ™ provider and also has extensive training in orthotic therapy.
In her spare time Dr. Gelinas enjoys spending time with her family and has a passion for all forms of exercise.
