Candice Fourie - Speech-Language Pathologist
Candice Fourie graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters in Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010. Candice also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics from McMaster University. Candice is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, the Speech-Language and Audiology Canada professional association, and the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Candice found her passion for speech-language pathology when volunteering in a hospital throughout high school. Candice Fourie has been involved in the profession since that time and has gained exceptional skills in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, feeding and swallowing disorders.
Candice Fourie maintains evidence-based practices and has contributed to a number of published journal articles through research projects. Candice Fourie is innovative and person-centered in her approach to therapy and is a strong advocate for her clients. Candice has over 8 years of experience working in intensive rehabilitation with adults who are challenged by neurological changes, including strokes and brain injuries. Candice is always inspired when helping individuals engage in their lives and relationships, through safe and enjoyable meals and effective conversation.
