Dr. Maria Galantai - Naturopathic Doctor
Naturopathic Doctor Maria is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, currently registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Prior to naturopathic medicine, she graduated from medical school in Romania.
Her conventional medical training has shaped her views on the importance of evidence-based medicine and collaborative care, while the naturopathic training has taught her to look at patients holistically, taking into consideration not only physical symptoms but also psychological, social, environmental factors and spiritual beliefs.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, she strives to help individuals to achieve and maintain optimal health. Her goal is to identify and treat the underlying cause of the disease while addressing the symptoms with gentle, natural ways of treatment.
In her practice, she uses clinical nutrition, lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplements, botanical medicine and acupuncture to support the body’s innate healing ability. She provides treatment plans tailored to individual needs and actively engages patients in managing their own health.
Maria has a special interest in women’s health (irregular menses, pre-menstrual syndrome, thyroid disease, hormonal imbalance, PCOS, menopause), mental health (anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, any stress-related issues) and digestive concerns (heartburn, bloating, inflammatory disorders, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, etc.). Maria has had success and enjoyed helping people improve their immune systems, lose weight, improve fatigue and brain fog.
Finally, Dr. Maria offers acute seasonal assessment. An acute assessment is to identify the symptoms and treat them accordingly using a natural approach with herbal medicine and/or supplementation.
