Kelly Wark - Speech-Language Pathologist
Kelly is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist at Pillars of Wellness with more than 10 years of experience in a variety of settings including outpatient rehabilitation and in the community where services were provided in the client’s home, workplace and/or school.
Kelly is enthusiastic about working with clients of all ages with a diverse range of communicative goals. She has a strong background in assessing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication skills and dysphagia in individuals with acquired neurological impairments including traumatic brain injury and stroke.
Kelly believes that it is crucial to provide client-centered services with a focus on targeting meaningful goals that will maximize each client’s communication potential. She ensures that while using evidence-based techniques, her sessions are also motivating, purposeful and fun!
Kelly is registered with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario (CASLPO), a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) and attained a Master’s of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree from the University of Toronto. Her post-graduate education includes courses and certifications in cognitive-communication disorders, accent reduction, literacy, post-concussive syndrome, applications of technology, mental health, child language and articulation disorders.
Kelly enjoys spending time chasing around her two young sons and dog with her husband. She also loves to practice yoga, cook, garden, and travel.
