Michelle Tyler Physiotherapist At Pillars of Wellness

Physiotherapist Michelle has over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. Michelle graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 1998. She has completed many post-grad courses including intermediate manual therapy, acupuncture and Gunn IMS.

She has extensive clinical experience in orthopedics, neurology, and hand therapy. Her philosophy is that each person is a unique puzzle, which requires a tailored approach. She uses a combination of a thorough assessment, clinical reasoning, and integrated and personal approach to patient care. This can include the use of hands on (manual therapy), acupuncture, patient education, exercise therapy, and collaboration with other disciplines.

She has a special interest in helping and empowering her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients. she understands there are many changing and confusing pieces to the puzzle. Her wish is to keep everyone moving, no matter what stage they are at or how they do it. Exercise as a staple of wellness and maintaining a healthy body and mind.

As a neuro-physiotherapist, Michelle can treat post-stroke, MS, Parkinson's Disease and other neurological condition.

She also believes that the body and mind are plastic, meaning it has the ability to change and can learn and adapt. She strives to help empower people to see that change is possible and it is in their own hands. In her free time, she enjoys walking, swimming, and spending time with her furry friends. She also is an avid sketch artist and painter.
