Nurit Nadler - Speech-Language Pathologist
Nurit is a registered Speech Language Pathologist with more than 20 years of experience providing therapy in the clinic setting as well as the community including: home, daycares, schools, and workplace settings.
Assessing and treating both children and adults is both personally and professionally fulfilling and an incredible balance for keeping up with best evidence practice in the area of child speech, language, and literacy and in the area of adults with acquired neurological impairments including: aphasia, dysarthria, acquired apraxia, traumatic brain injury, cognitive-communication deficits, and concussion. Programming can also be tailored for the modification and enhancement of intelligibility and comprehensibility in the foreign-accented speech of adults.
Nurit enjoys supporting parents, families, teachers, and caregivers as they are an important part of the client’s therapy and/or rehabilitation process. Researching, preparing, and creating therapy activities beyond the therapy books/materials so that it resonates with clients and motivates them to attain therapy goals is essential to a person-centered focus. So too, are the enriching opportunities that focus on tailoring to the unique and diverse needs of multilingual and multicultural clients and families.
Nurit is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She is certified by the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) and by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in English from York University and a Masters of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
