Registered Social Worker Richard Lindo is an empathic professional who believes respectful, empowering therapeutic relationships can change lives for the better.
He enjoys working collaboratively and creatively with his clients of all age ranges and diverse backgrounds to assist them in overcoming their challenges. He utilizes eclectic, trauma-informed, and integrative approaches in a non-judgmental manner, tailored to you and your unique concerns. He believes that providing useful information while highlighting personal strengths and abilities most often leads clients to achieve their goals and live happier, more fulfilled lives.
In his 15 years in the social work field, He has engaged clients presenting with mental health and addictions issues, ADHD, anger issues, grief, suicidal ideation, complex trauma, and relationship issues among other concerns. He has developed expertise in a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based techniques, and Trauma and Attachment-Based techniques.
Richard holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto as well as a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. Richard has also completed post-graduate certification in Narrative Therapy and Trauma Counselling at the Hincks Dellcrest Centre, and is a Certified Trauma Integration Practitioner through the Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing.
