What to expect on your first visit?
The initial visit with our chiropractor consists of an initial assessment in which the practitioner obtains a complete health history.
This will be followed by a comprehensive evaluation directed towards assessing symptoms and examining muscle/joint bio-mechanics and gait.
The chiropractor also makes use of neurological and orthopedic assessment tools and other diagnostic instruments in order to determine a working diagnosis.
Further investigations, including diagnostic imaging studies may be required in order to provide a definitive diagnosis.
Then a detailed treatment plan will be developed in order to best address underlying symptoms, including pain and mobility issues, and facilitate improved functioning.
Techniques Typically Used by Chiropractic Doctors include the following:
- Spinal and/or joint manipulation (adjustments)
- Soft tissue treatment/myofascial release techniques
- Active Release Techniques (ART) – Spine
- Rehabilitative exercise program design, Core strength training

It must be noted, however, that each individual’s issues are unique and that techniques employed will be specific to the client’s particular needs and issues.
