James Beamer graduated from the University of Toronto in 2004 with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree after completing his degree in Kinesiology at York University.
James has over 10 years experience as Physiotherapist, working with individuals with neurological conditions in a variety of hospital and community settings. James has a passion for neurological rehabilitation and recently returned from 3 years working as a physiotherapist in New Zealand where he provided comprehensive assessment and treatment services for individuals with Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, and other neurological conditions.
He has completed various postgraduate courses in the areas of neurological rehabilitation including neuro-developmental treatment (NDT), vestibular rehabilitation, Parkinson’s management, gait/balance training, contemporary acupuncture along with attending condition specific conferences.
James continues to advance his skills and is currently working towards completing training in LSVT Big, an exercise program for those with Parkinson’s disease. James is truly passionate about the use of movement and exercise to help guide individuals throughout various stages of neurological disease into reaching his or her full potential and function.
